Emily grew up in Philadelphia, where she spent the majority of her life before making the move up to State College. In 2021, she graduated from Drexel University with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Neuroscience. In 2023, she graduated from St. Joseph’s University with a M.S. in Biology where she studied sleep and avoidance behaviors in C. Elegans in Dr. Matthew Nelson’s lab. Currently, she is a Ph.D. student in the Biology department and is excited about furthering her research journey. In her free time, she enjoys baking, playing PC games, and spending time with her two cats, Mila and Miso.
