Sindhu moved to State College from Central Jersey, where she attended Rutgers University and earned her Bachelors. After graduation, she worked as a technician in several labs at Rutgers including David Margolis and Rafiq Huda. There, she expanded her technical systems neuroscience knowledge and immersed herself in the mouse striatum, a critical locus for sensorimotor integration and motor execution. Her work with Dr. Huda introduced her to the investigation of astrocytes as neuromodulators within this system, and she was hooked! She is super excited to continue in the world of glia as a grad student in the Sipe Lab. Sindhu enjoys exploring new places, cooking for her loved ones, and laughing with friends.
